The Piccolo Festival della Politica celebrates its eighth edition and chooses Telese Terme, a spa town in the Province of Benevento, as its 2019 location. From 27 to 29 September, the program of the festival dedicated to politics, born in 2010 from an idea of the communications agency Arcadia, will be divided into conferences, debates, training sessions, interviews, book presentations and will see the presence of politicians, political communication experts, journalists, academics, authors of national importance.
The theme on which the guests of the eighth edition will discuss is “The dust under the carpet – palingenesis without catharsis” to focus attention on the current phenomenon of the rapid renewal of Italian political parties in an almost total absence of critical analysis and self-criticism.
The festival, in fact, scheduled a few days after the birth of the Conte bis government and close to the announced split of the Renzi wing of the Democratic Party, with the parties facing yet another revolution, will host leading figures in national politics who in recent weeks have been among the protagonists of the government crisis and internal party debates.
Matteo Richetti, first deputy and then senator of the Democratic Party, will arrive in Telese Terme, who by abstaining from the vote of confidence on Conte-bis announced his exit from the party. To date, Ricchetti has entrusted his statements only to social media channels, ready to build a new political entity with Calenda. He will speak about it in public for the first time from the stage of the Piccolo Festival della Politica.

The one who has spoken out, and often, on the internal divisions of the Democratic Party is the former minister Andrea Orlando, national deputy secretary of the Democratic Party, the one who personally led the negotiations for the new yellow-red government. He too will be in Telese Terme, among the confirmed guests of the Piccolo Festival which will also see the participation of the national President of ANCI and mayor of Bari Antonio Decaro.

Gianluigi Paragone is also critical of the alliance with the Democratic Party, but this time on the side of the 5 Star Movement, and will present his new book “La vita a rate” at PFP 2019.

Also of prime importance were the presence of communicators, academics and journalists.

Among others, the debaters on politics and communication will include Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Bologna and political scientist Gianfranco Pasquino, Christopher Cepernich (University of Turin – La Stampa) and Andrea Camorrino (Proforma).

The panels will be moderated and the guests will be in conversation with the already confirmed Antonello Caporale (Il Fatto Quotidiano), Lorenzo Maria Falco (Rai – Cartabianca), Francesca Martelli (Open – La7) and Federico Monga (director of Il Mattino).

The program, very rich and articulated, closing in the next few hours, will reserve other important ideas, surprises and presences.

The event is scheduled for September 27, 28 and 29 in Telese Terme. Program and news on the website https://2019.piccolofestivaldellapolitica.it/ and on the Telegram channel https://t.me/piccolofestivaldellapolitica.
