The girl who had become known on social media as the Bibbiano girl is not only not from Bibbiano, but she's not even from Emilia. She lives in Lombardy. This was revealed by Selvaggia Lucarelli, who spoke with her mother and a judicial source. "A magistrate told me that the little girl Greta, brought by Salvini on stage in Pontida, is not mentioned in the order of the Reggio Emilia investigating judge regarding the 'Bibbiano case.' Furthermore, her case was not even among those followed by the Val d'Enza Social Services," the journalist and writer wrote on Twitter. She added: "I spoke with her mother. The little girl from Pontida has nothing to do with Bibbiano. She lives in Lombardy, and the foster homes she was placed in were in Varese and Como. Salvini exploited Bibbiano and the children in an unworthy manner." Greta's mother was contacted by the League in front of Palazzo Chigi on the sidelines of a demonstration. In Pontida, Salvini hadn't explicitly stated that Greta's case was one of the unlawful abuses discovered in Bibbiano. He simply said: "Greta is this beautiful red-haired girl who was returned to her mother after a year." The League leader didn't even say whether it was a "normal" case or an unlawful foster care arrangement. Today, Salvini tweeted, in addition to Bibbiano, that he mentioned "other Italian municipalities" where foster care abuses were allegedly committed.
