The technicians of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps of Campania saved an American tourist who had injured herself along the Path of the Gods late this morning. They left from the hamlet of Nocelle to reach an American hiker who slipped along the path, hitting her head. Another hiker gave her first aid and alerted 118. The call was forwarded to the Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps of Campania and to the 118 helicopter rescue service in Salerno, which immediately took off with a helicopter rescue technician (from CNSAS) on board. Fortunately, some CNSAS technicians were already in the area and, together with paramedics from the helicopter rescue service, quickly reached the injured woman, who was treated and then taken to safety.
