Tommaso Paradiso, frontman of Thegiornalisti, announced in an Instagram story that his band has split up. The singer wrote on social media: "In a few days, a new song will be released. It won't be released as Thegiornalisti, but as Tommaso Paradiso. From now on, everything I write and sing will no longer be Thegiornalisti, but Tommaso Paradiso. It's right that it be this way." Paradiso didn't provide details on the reasons for the band's split: "You know better than I do that, in most cases, relationships don't last forever. There's no point in me telling you the dynamics that led to this conclusion." The singer continued, "We're keeping the problems to ourselves." "Obviously, there will be controversy," Paradiso continued, predicting "conjecture" and "inaccuracies" about the reasons for the split. "These last few months have been difficult," he confessed. “I've been silent; I wanted the Circus Maximus (their last concert on September 7th, ed.) to be a great celebration, not a funeral. I repeat, I don't think it's noble to explain to you the hows and whys of all this.” Just a hint at the causes: “I can't live in a climate of tension, not at home, not at work, not in the car, not anywhere on the planet. Music is liberation,” writes the singer, who then concludes: “I'm not asking you for anything, except to try to be a little gentle in trying to express your legitimate opinions on the matter. Things happen, guys; it's inherent in the changing nature of space and time.”

by Vincenzo Scarpa February 13, 2026 - 13:31 13:31

NAPLES – Nearly four months have passed since the violent fire that struck the Gianturco neighborhood on October 23rd, but for seventeen families on Via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli alle Mosche, the emergency has never ended. Since that night, they've been living far from their homes, navigating temporary accommodations and waiting with exasperation.

A resident, speaking on behalf of the displaced, wrote to Green-Left MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli to denounce delays and silence. The letter describes restoration work being slowed by bureaucracy and unanswered questions. "We need to return to our homes and resume our lives," is the gist of the appeal, which also echoes previous reports of alleged abuses in the area, which residents say went unaddressed before the disaster.

Thirty artists, including actors, dancers, acrobats, and singers, will take turns on stage, creating an original dramaturgy that intertwines words, movement, and music. The choreography and scenography, announced as central elements of the production, will take the viewer on an emotional journey that transcends the sporting dimension to explore myth and humanity.

Severe weather in the Salerno area, landslides and flooding: the Amalfi Coast closed, families evacuated.

by Vincenzo Scarpa February 13, 2026 - 13:07 13:07

SALERNO – Landslides, mudslides, and flooding have been affecting the Salerno area in recent hours, where severe weather has left a trail of damage and disruption to traffic. The most critical situation is along the coast and in the hilly areas, with work underway and traffic slowed in several strategic locations.

In Camerota, Cilento, the force of the sea has hurled rocks, sand, and debris onto the Mingardo regional road 562. Safety operations are still underway, and municipal police are patrolling the area. The road remains passable, but the municipality urges extreme caution. In the same area, a landslide caused by heavy rains affected the road between Camerota and Lentiscosa: prompt intervention allowed traffic to be restored within a few hours.
