SOMMA VESUVIANA. Moments of aggregation, but also of reflection, art, music, religion and economics. The program for the celebrations of San Gennaro, patron saint of the city of Somma Vesuviana, is rich and varied. Five days that will culminate in the concert of a special and beloved guest: Sal Da Vinci, who will be in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III on September 19 at 21.30:XNUMX pm.
But the Festa committee together with the Municipality, which sponsors the event, and some city associations have thought of many engaging initiatives, from Miss Vesuvio, to a kermesse for the valorization of the Crisommole, to the art present in the historic center, to the memory of two young mothers from Somma who were victims of femicide.
“We are proud as an Administration to be able to repeat this year a patronal festival with many events”, commented Mayor Salvatore Di Sarno “With the important novelty of the Lottery we have managed to directly involve the Sommese community in the event. It will be possible to buy tickets, and try your luck, also on September 19th until 21 pm, from some stalls that will be specially set up in the square. It will be a pleasure to attend an event every day and then listen to the engaging voice of Sal Da Vinci. Naturally there will be religious events with the synergy of all the parish priests of our city, and our evocative procession during which the statue of our beloved patron passes through the main streets”.
The Councilor for Culture and Entertainment, Flora Pirozzi, is also on the same line: “We thank the San Gennaro Committee for their collaboration and for the many events they have managed to organize, we start on September 18 and finish on the 22nd, and at the same time the local associations that have helped us to make one of the most important events in Somma interesting and engaging: the festival dedicated to the patron saint. The result of teamwork coordinated by the department, the municipal administration, with the officials of the Authority, the municipal police officers, to ensure that everything goes as well as possible. We invite you to participate, we will all celebrate together”.
