Five performances are scheduled, featuring theater companies from across the Campania region. Following last year's success, "Theater on Display at the Museum" returns, a theater festival promoted by the Nola-based Pipariello company, chaired by Antonio Esposito. The evocative church of Santa Maria la Nova will serve as a natural backdrop for the actors for the second consecutive year. The program kicks off on Saturday, September 21st, at 8:30 pm. After greetings from Mayor Gaetano Minieri and Councilor for Culture Annalisa Sebastiani, the Samarcanda company from Battipaglia will perform.
“An opportunity to make known and appreciate theatrical comedy but also an opportunity to spend a few hours in pleasant company with quality artistic performances – explains Antonio Pipariello – This time too the selection was particularly difficult. We tried to diversify the topics covered by hosting groups with different souls and paths to deliver entertaining and new shows to the spectators”.
spectttThe program includes, in addition to the individual events, a closing gala that will be held on Friday 18 October in the hall of the historical archaeological museum. The guest of the evening will be the actor Corrado Taranto. For the occasion, awards will be given divided into categories and specifically:
Best Actor/Actress Award; Best Supporting Actor/Actress; Best Character Actor; Best Director;
best young; best show. A special jury will award them, evaluating the individual texts and performances. Not just theater, but also taste with the stand of the city farm "Eccellenze nolane" by Giovanni Trinchese and the tasting of typical local dishes prepared with zero-mile products. A kermesse made possible thanks to the contribution of private entities, including the Nolan entrepreneur Francesco Napolitano who comments on the initiative as follows: "art and theater, a perfect combination for Nola which, with this event, showcases one of the most beautiful sites, offering citizens the right opportunity to appreciate its value. Initiatives like these - adds Francesco Napolitano - not only encourage socialization but contribute to the cultural growth of the community that needs new and continuous stimuli. Always alongside young people who never miss an opportunity to invest in the territory".
