On Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the "Critica-mente" festival will be held at Villa Macrina in Torre del Greco (Naples). This day will explore topics related to moderation, fair trade, environmental respect, human rights, ethical finance, conscious eating, responsible tourism, and much more. Organized by the associations Le Tribu', Rete Cassiopea, and Anea as part of the public notice "The Festival of Critical Consumption" promoted by CSV Napoli, the initiative features a rich program with children's workshops and free tastings. The organizers aim to "create a new concept of social awareness, one that is not limited to the pursuit of fragmented objectives, but is expressed in everyday life, creating fruitful synergies between producers and consumers in every sector, supporting an economically and ethically effective network." Two in-depth meetings are planned for the day, one on fair trade and another on the environment and energy, with a particular focus on critical consumption and fair trade purchasing groups. Two tastings will also be offered to better understand fair trade and local products, and the projects and stories behind them, such as exploitation-free production, improved working conditions, and the valorization of women's labor. There will also be workshops and tastings for children in the villa's playground. Workshops and information sessions will address material recycling, plastic overuse, renewable energy, compostable materials, and ethical finance. Schools will also be invited to promote their own projects and campaigns, in line with the festival. Organizations promoting responsible tourism will also be invited, which enriches the community not only economically but also by rewarding destinations, fostering a new model of social development for people, places, and regions.
