From Naples to Palermo to transport drugs while posing as tourists. Four Neapolitans (three women and one man) were arrested by the Carabinieri for possession of drugs. Michele Carrotta, 41, Sara Miele, 39, Jessica Taglialatela, 28, and Nunzia Carrotta, 48, were arrested on charges of production, trafficking, and possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances. Officers from the Monreale branch stopped them on Viale Regione Siciliana in Palermo, near the Corleone bridge, in a Renault Captur and a Fiat 500 L. 134 kilograms of hashish and 296 grams of marijuana were found in the door panels of the two vehicles. During the search, the Carabinieri seized, in addition to the drugs, €2307. The four were taken to the Lorusso prison in Pagliarelli to await a sentencing hearing. Meanwhile, investigations are underway to establish on whose behalf they transported the drugs from Naples to Palermo and to which clan they are connected.
