E-commerce continues to grow in Italy at a dizzying pace and future trends remain largely positive. Buying online has now become a habit of our days, also because you can buy anything online, conveniently using your smartphone or PC. A practical, fast and above all convenient way. A series of aspects that are confirmed in the latest 2018 data on the e-commerce sector, capable of generating a turnover of 41,5 billion euros and estimated to be constantly growing. Going into the specifics of the latest sector report, some more than others are preferred by Italians when they dedicate themselves to online shopping. Fashion is the most visited and sought after by users. The "sportswear" sector is especially in vogue, thanks also to the presence of numerous specialized multi-product stores online and with branches throughout the territory. An example is calcioshop.it, reference site for footballers that also offers its products thanks to a network of physical stores. Moving on to other Italian brands active in the clothing and accessories sector, one particularly loved by the younger ones is Tezenis, standing out for its complete assortment of underwear. Not only fashion but among the sectors that drive Italian e-commerce is the "health and beauty" sector. The search for psycho-physical well-being in recent years has acquired ever greater importance in our society and has also multiplied on web stores and online pharmacies. The cosmetics sector is no exception, with the Sephora brand among the most visited in Italy, and electronics portals in general, where some well-known chains also present in the area, such as Unieuro and Mediaworld, reign supreme. Finally, for the "furniture and home accessories”, the first place, also last year, goes to the well-known brand Ikea. Italian e-commerce has therefore recorded a sustained development in 2018 in all sectors, a phenomenon in continuous evolution that in recent years has more than doubled the number of online purchases. After all, all you have to do is turn on your PC or connect from your smartphone to be immediately connected to the network and order anything you are interested in. A turnover that today has reached mind-boggling figures, destined to grow even further in the future.
