Naples. A political project that aims to unite all moderates and centrists on a single list ahead of the upcoming regional elections in Campania. Vincenzo D'Anna, former MP and spokesperson for the Ala group, who is one of the project's promoters, spoke about it in an interview with the newspaper Cronache di Napoli. "With a group of friends like Antonio Milo, Ciro Falanga, Angelo and Emilio Montemarano, and Tonino Cuomo," explains the current president of the National Association of Biologists, "we will meet in the first ten days of October to organize a network and open discussions with other centrist forces. Who are we discussing with? Giuseppe De Mita, Gioacchino Alfano, Paolo Cirino Pomicino, Michele Pisacane, Severino Nappi, Clemente Mastella." And Renzi? "I don't think he'll be able to win the support of the center, which is bereft of Forza Italia," replies the former parliamentarian, who then adds: "But I wouldn't have any problem sitting down with him to discuss a political project. It's clear, however, that I'd bring the weight of the argument. And, above all, it would be a public operation like the one we're trying to carry out in Campania." A region where, at the moment, support for the forces in the field hasn't yet been decided. "But it's not up to us," the Biologists' leader is quick to point out, recalling that "only in the center-right are they considering at least seven names." And that "in the center-left, they're awaiting the outcome of the Umbria vote: if the PD-5Stelle agreement on a civic name is successful, it's clear it will be replicated in Campania as well." And then: "I don't think De Luca will back down so easily." In any case, the former parliamentarian adds: "We will still be crucial to victory, no matter which side we decide to take." "Will I be a candidate? We'll be the directors of the operation, not the protagonists, to do politics for politics' sake, selflessly," he concludes.
