The activities of the Regional project “The Valorization of the Millenary Fair of the Cross of STIO” 51st edition continue.
Complementary Programme (POC) 2014-2020 Strategic line 2.4 “Urban regeneration strategic 2.4 – “Urban regeneration, Tourism and Cultural Policies” action 2 – “Events of national and international relevance – Itineraries”.
The project involves six municipalities in the Cilento hinterland: the municipality of GIOI as the project leader and the partner municipalities of CAMPORA, ORRIA, PERITO, STIO and VALLE DELL'ANGELO.
The project, entitled “Promotion of the Millenary Fiera della Croce”, is strongly supported by the six administrations and represents a complex process of promotion of the Cilento Interior that intends to make its environmental, historical-architectural, cultural, food and wine and hiking resources the pillars of a solid tourism development.
Furthermore, it intends to propose itself as an event that, through the fusion of itineraries, culture and shows, widespread hospitality, food and wine and culture, can recall the artistic forms and the typical and characterizing aspects of the places that have been influenced by the "crossroads" that the CROSS FAIR has represented over the centuries.
Now it's GIOI's turn with the long-awaited concert by ENZO GRAGNANIELLO.
The activities of the 51st edition of the POC will take place over a period of 10 months - from 31 August 2019 to 16 May 2020 - to discover the existing heritage through the promotion of itineraries and excursions and initiatives and shows that connect to the traditions, history and cultures of the area.
The six municipalities involved have been committed for years to the implementation of interventions capable of contributing to the valorization of their territory by leveraging the connotation of the locations where history, naturalistic-environmental heritage and tradition constitute the main elements of attraction and economic development.
The initiatives will be divided into historical re-enactments, traditional musical performances, concerts, theatrical performances, classical music, artistic installations (Murales) and promotional itineraries for local food and wine products.
The entire program is a mix of activities also enriched by the presence of well-known artists, with a lot of space for local realities and excellences, selected by the Artistic Director Lillo De Marco and can be consulted on the Facebook page and on the website of the event that has just started and will end on May 16, 2020:

“LO CHIAMAVANO VIENT' 'E TERRA”, the new album by ENZO GRAGNANIELLO (Arealive – Warner Music Italy distribution), was released on April 26, 2019. The album comes out four years after the previous “Misteriosamente”.
Twelve songs written, produced and arranged by the Neapolitan singer-songwriter, three-time winner of the “Targa Tenco” and fresh from the awards for the soundtrack of the film “Veleno”, the song “Vasame” included in the soundtrack of “Napoli velata” by Ferzan Ozpetek (performed by Arisa) and the song “L'erba cattivo” present in the soundtrack of “Gatta Cenerentola”.
A refined musician and author, an authentic interpreter of the music of the most magical and true Naples where he still lives and breathes the city every day.
Enzo Gragnaniello expertly mixes sincere and atavistic rhythms with classical Neapolitan music and Mediterranean sounds. He loves his city, his roots, fond of his culture but his voice crosses barriers and creates universal sounds; he looks forward without ever forgetting the purpose of his music and his singing, which is to excite and nourish the spirit of the listener.
