The Carabinieri of the Maddaloni station executed a precautionary house arrest order issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, agreeing with the requests of the Public Prosecutor's Office against Michele Vanacore, 45, originally from Marano di Napoli, and Lello Vanacore, 33, originally from Caserta. The two are charged with aggravated extortion, aggravated assault, and aggravated damage to two employees of the "F.lli Iorio" funeral home. The investigation stemmed from a complaint filed last September at the Maddaloni Station. It emerged that, on the morning of September 5, 2018, while they were putting up a poster, they had been approached by the two Vanacore brothers, also owners of a funeral home that competed with the Iorio brothers in the Maddaloni area. They had received explicit threats to interrupt the company's routine operations, for which the two employees worked. They were also physically assaulted and had the windshield of the van used by their company damaged with a wooden club. The Carabinieri station's acquisition of the assaulted victim's medical report, which was deemed to be recoverable within five days for various bruises, combined with photographs of the damaged vehicle, allowed them to confirm the authenticity of the complainants' story, gathering the evidence needed to issue a precautionary measure. Once the formalities were completed, the arrested persons were taken to their homes at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

MADDALONI – They threatened a peer with a knife and stole his wallet, smartphone, and electric bicycle. The two minors involved in the incident were both reported to the Juvenile Court for conspiracy to commit robbery after the intervention of the Carabinieri of the local station.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, around 16.30pm, near a bar in via Forche Caudine, in Maddaloni, in the province of Caserta. According to the military's reconstruction, the victim, a 14-year-old boy who was with a friend, was approached by two peers. After threatening him with a knife, the two men took his personal belongings and then quickly fled.
