Starting from the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, “L'altra metà Tour” by Francesco Renga also arrives in Naples on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 November at 21 pm, at the Teatro Augusteo. A tour of over 50 dates in just over two months, which will see Renga as the protagonist on the stages of the main theatres of the peninsula to present to the public his latest album of unreleased songs “L'altra metà” and his greatest hits from the repertoire. Before taking his new show abroad, starting next May 2020, with a series of live dates in the main cities of Europe, including London, Paris, Brussels and Madrid.
Accompanied on stage by musicians Fulvio Arnoldi (acoustic guitar and keyboards), Vincenzo Messina (piano and keyboards), Stefano Brandoni (guitars), Heggy Vezzano (guitars), Phil Mer (drums) and Gabriele Cannarozzo (bass), Francesco Renga will surprise his audience during the tour with an engaging show, great emotions and a completely new and very rich setlist, which will include the unforgettable hits from his repertoire and the songs from his latest and eighth album of unreleased material.
"The charm and beauty of the theater, the physical proximity with the audience. Being able to look them in the face, touch them, feel them. And knowing that they can do the same. The show that will be staged is designed precisely for this, to experience an evening filled with great magic," emphasizes Francesco Renga.
“L'altra metà”, produced by Michele Canova Iorfida, is an album composed of 12 songs with a contemporary sound and language and represents the other half of Francesco Renga's life, history, and music: another chapter, characterized by new awareness and forms, both sound and language. The album was anticipated on the radio by the single “L'odore del caffè” whose video was created by Francesco Governa and directed by Mauro Russo. “Normale” feat. Ermal Meta is instead the title of the new unreleased single released as a surprise on October 25. In the song, Francesco Renga's voice merges with that of Ermal Meta in a hymn dedicated to the ability to make even the simplest things in everyday life special.
"The Other Half is also—as the artist states—the fruit of over 35 years of work, research, passion, love, and a life spent trying to tell stories and tell about myself through music and words... through my voice. I wrote with many young authors, musicians, and artists because I needed to find the right language to speak—through these songs—to my children too. This, I believe, is the album's greatest strength: songs, words, and music that manage to tell the story of the life I live through, which, in turn, is told through the eyes of a 50-year-old man."
Tickets to attend the concerts on November 18 and 19 in Naples, organized by Veragency and Friends & Partners, are available on the TicketOne website and at the usual points of sale.
