Trianon Viviani obtained recognition of legal personality under private law with executive decree no. 24 of 4/10/2019 of the Executive Operations Unit 03 of the Campania Region (private legal entities).
The entity that owns and manages the Forcella theatre is thus transformed from a joint stock company with full public participation into a foundation. Founding members are the Campania Region and the Metropolitan City of Naples, with a participation of 80,40% and 19,60% respectively.
Having acquired recognition of the new legal personality of the entity, in the first half of the month, the president Giovanni Pinto, reconfirmed as the administrative head of the theater, will then proceed with the installation of the new board of directors. In the administrative body of the foundation, with Pinto, designated by the Region, the theater operator Igina Di Napoli were appointed, again on the recommendation of the majority shareholder, and the economist Antonio Roberto Lucidi, representing the Metropolitan City.
The transformation of the entity into a foundation occurred in compliance with the decree of the President of the Regional Council of Campania (dpgrc) n. 274 of 29 September 2017 and Legislative Decree 175 of 19 August 2016. The dpgrc 274/2017, which approved the "Extraordinary review plan of corporate shareholdings pursuant to art. 24 Legislative Decree 175/2016 (Consolidated law on publicly held companies)", established the need for the new legal course for corporate participation by public administrations.
President Pinto comments: «With the transformation of the Trianon Viviani into a foundation, a new phase of identity and production of the theatre begins, aimed at pursuing the statutory purposes of development, qualification and dissemination of Neapolitan art and culture».
