Incendiary Ignition on Garbage Truck in Giugliano: Tragedy Avoided

A fire involving plastic material loaded onto a compactor truck was prevented thanks to the vehicle's timely intervention, which immediately dumped the material. The incident occurred in Giugliano. Giugliano's mayor, Antonio Poziello, announced the incident on social media. The truck had driven to Via Carraffiello, as part of a scheduled collection round, to load some material. Among the material was an incendiary device. The driver noticed it in time and immediately dumped the material, avoiding further consequences. Now it's time to determine who abandoned the device. "We hope the perpetrators can be identified and arrested soon," commented mayor Antonio Poziello. "Our hot summer on the waste front is clearly not over yet."
