Naples. The Naples Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the recent death of an elderly man at Cardarelli Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for a week due to serious injuries sustained in a minor fall on Via Scarlatti in the Vomero neighborhood. The victim, 74-year-old Claudio Farina, was walking near the shop where his son works when he tripped on the uneven sidewalk. He fell heavily to the ground, hitting his head and face. He was taken to the nearby Cardarelli Hospital, as reported by Cronache di Napoli, where he remained hospitalized in the intensive care unit until September 25, when his heart stopped beating. The Naples Prosecutor's Office, having read the report prepared by the city police, who also attached images from the video surveillance cameras, ordered the seizure of the body and medical records. The family is prepared to take legal action against the Naples municipal administration.
