The show "Prenda Del Alma" will close the series "Pausilypon: suggestions at dusk." On Sunday, at the Odeon of the Pausilypon Imperial Villa in Naples, Luciano Biondini on accordion and Mauro De Leonardo on guitar will perform a show set in Mexico and South America. The Pausilypon Archaeological and Environmental Park's permanent series is curated by the CSI Gaiola non-profit organization, with artistic direction by Serena Improta, in collaboration with the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape for the City of Naples, and the moral patronage of the City of Naples. "The show is inspired by 'Prenda Del Alma,' which is an old Mexican serenade," stated Serena Improta. "Then the journey continues into the magical atmospheres of South America," the artistic director continued, "with the splendid Argentine waltz 'Flor de lino' (Stamponi), passing through old Brazil with the piece 'Carinhoso' (Pixinguinha), and continuing with 'Luiza,' a tribute to the maestro Soberano Antonio Carlos Jobim. Alongside these popular pieces, the musicians will play two pieces by contemporary jazz composers, treating them as if they too were part of the South American popular music world: 'Chan's Song' (Hancock) and 'Tramonto' (Towner)." The Odeion was recently completely restored by the CSI Gaiola non-profit organization thanks to funds raised by the event. The structure, which underwent a complete restoration project by the Archaeological Superintendency in 2002, had been in a state of disrepair and unusable for several years until the 2017 restoration project, funded by the Pausilypon Festival. The "Pausilypon Suggestions at Dusk" project was born specifically to raise funds for restoration and recovery projects, as well as to support the simple maintenance of the archaeological site. The Festival, its promoters announced, has decided since its first edition to forgo stages, sets, sound systems, lighting towers, and anything that might alter the essence of the site, out of the utmost respect for the area's archaeological and natural heritage. The main partner, Ferrarelle, has once again decided to support and support this city-wide cultural event. Before the show, there will be a tasting of Campania's finest wines, organized in collaboration with the Ager Campanus association and the Consorzio Tutela Vini Vesuvio, featuring a selection of typical Vesuvian grape varieties from more than 30 wineries.
