Following the resounding success of the second edition of the 2019 "Scena Teatro" award, an all-female program held on Saturday, September 28th at the auditorium of the Salerno community center, the Scena Teatro Association is back to work behind the scenes. The theater workshop, which celebrates its 16th anniversary last Monday, will feature over two hundred students. The workshop will also be held in the heart of the old city, at the former Church of Sant'Apolonnia, starting at 5:00 PM tomorrow, Thursday, October 3rd, with children. Following this, at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM, it will be the turn of teens and adults. This barrier-free workshop, open to participants from ages five to ninety-nine, is also open to those with disabilities, and highlights Antonello De Rosa's important social work. "I am deeply satisfied," says Antonello De Rosa, "both with the number of artists present and the quality of the performance presented to the audience gathered last Saturday at the auditorium of the Salerno community center. The young people were truly extraordinary, especially Nadia Rinaldi, who in a very short time—I'm obviously talking about four or five in three days—managed to bring her performance to life in the best possible way. And now, as is only right in these cases, we're already working on the third year. As for the workshops in the heart of the old city, I've always wanted to have a hub in the historic center, and it became even more evident that this location was needed when so many requests came in from people who couldn't get to the community center for various reasons. This explains the need and desire to open a hub in the old city, and specifically in the Church of Sant'Apollonia, which, especially for me, has brought back memories and fantastic experiences."
