“Pane Ammore e Tarantella represents a challenge won in just a few years – says artistic director Roberto d'Agnese -. The initial idea was to create a meeting point between traditions and gastronomic excellence and, in just a few years, the goal was achieved, managing to register this year the presence of over 100 stands together with the artistic expressions of the Irpinia, Salerno and Neapolitan tradition, in addition to the Street Bands that will animate the historic center with a strong artistic and musical impact. They will be three unmissable days, capable of representing a showcase, or rather a synthesis of the excellence of the territory, from historical sites to gastronomy. I am sure that the thousands of people who will come to Avella for this edition will not miss the opportunity to experience in the best way the many excellences that Avella has to offer. I would like to thank the association “Pane Ammore e Tarantella” and its president Mariangela Sorice who has once again entrusted me with the artistic direction of this event, and the mayor of Avella, Domenico Biancardi, also president of the Province of Avellino, committed to building a concrete path for the valorization of Irpinia in a touristic key”.
“We are excited about this edition, an innovative event that will include different elements and different “events within the event” – says Mariangela Sorice, president of the association “Pane Ammore e Tarantella” –. In addition to the numerous food stands where dishes will be prepared according to our tradition, and the many stands of true craftsmanship that will be present, we have paid a lot of attention to art: from the exhibition in the Palazzo Baronale that will take us back in time to a contemporary art exhibition by two artists, without forgetting the guided tours of our historical and architectural heritage. We have paid particular attention to entertainment for children and of course there will be music, with three stages in three different squares. In short, we have taken care of all the details and for this we must thank all the young people who with so much love and sacrifice allow this event to be realized after years, the mayor Biancardi, also president of the Province, who helped us with his precious advice and his skills and Roberto D'Agnese, artistic director of the event. Our invitation is to spend these three days with us, to experience an event that we hope will be unforgettable."
