Lhe Dia coordinated the arrest, in Holland, of Alfredo Marfella, a fugitive since 2016, as he was the subject of a European arrest warrant, resulting from a custody order in prison issued by the court of Naples for international drug trafficking. This was announced in a press release from the Dia. The operation, they explain, was possible thanks to the support of the Dutch anti-mafia team and the national prosecutor's office which, in constant contact with the Dia, located the fugitive, believed to be the promoter and organizer of an association that acted as an intermediary between Italian buyers and Dutch traffickers. The capture took place, by men from the Dutch police department, in a well-known restaurant in The Hague where the man worked regularly as a chef. Today's operation, the note continues, can be considered the result of an international investigative strategy to combat organized crime, which the DIA has developed over time, also through the creation and management of the Anti-Mafia Operational Network - Onnet, a project that provides, with the existing police cooperation tools, to support the investigative units of the member states with agents specialized in the phenomenon and to simultaneously improve the exchange of information useful for investigations.
