Pthe demolition activity of illegal buildings, subject to final sentences, located in the Province of Caserta, continues without stopping, in an area devastated by buildings constructed in violation of urban planning restrictions, in order to tirelessly and with the utmost commitment reaffirm legality.
This morning, the demolition of an illegal building began with the restoration of the state of the places, located in the Municipality of Mondragone. This is a building intended for residential use consisting of a ground floor (used as a summer residence) completely finished in every part, both externally and internally, covered with a flat roof, with vertical load-bearing structures in tuff masonry and horizontal reinforced concrete structures with a surface area of approximately 200 mXNUMX. Said property, completely illegal, is located in the municipality of Mondragone in the locality of "Stercolilli". The area is highly degraded, with the presence of very high environmental pollution mainly due to the discharge of waste water (toilets) directly into the sea, coming from illegal buildings that do not have biological sewers. The property was built on land owned by the State Public Property Office – Merchant Marine Branch (the convicted person illegally occupied a maritime state property area of approximately 2 mXNUMX). 760,00}, in an area with severe hydrogeological instability covered by various constraints: landscape and environmental constraint (Legislative Decree 42/04), hydrogeological constraint, seismic constraint, archaeological constraint and non-buildability constraint from the municipal master plan. The demolition order, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, provides for the demolition of the building, the activation of procedures aimed at recovering legal costs against the illegal builder, the full application of the regulations on safety in construction sites and recovery of materials left over from demolitions. The Public Prosecutor's Office therefore continues with the necessary activity of demolishing the illegal buildings, thus allowing the restoration of the integrity of the territory. To this end, with the aim of reaffirming the principles of legality and justice in a province where illegality has long been practiced and fueled, the Demolition Office has been reorganized and strengthened, with personnel belonging to the Judicial Police Section - Forestry Carabinieri Quota - headquarters, an office that will coordinate the procedures for further demolitions of illegal buildings in the Province of Caserta. Demolition activity, like repression/prevention activity in general, actually sensitizes communities to appropriate and respectful land use. The demolitions, in fact, send an unequivocal signal that illegal building is being fought to the bitter end and that, above all, it is not convenient.
