E' in serious condition at the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare with burns to various parts of his body. He is an elderly man from Casola who was involved in a fire in his home during the night. According to an initial reconstruction made by the firefighters who rushed to the scene to put out the flames, the man fell asleep in bed with a lit cigarette. A fatal distraction. In a short time the flames engulfed the bed and part of the room. The man most likely did not notice anything. It was the neighbors who called for help. He is now hospitalized in Castellammare in serious condition.
