Berlino, 9 giugno 1933.
Der Boxer, the new theatrical show produced by the Teatro Tabasco company, by and with Michele Vargiu, is dedicated to this extraordinary story. The show will stop in Naples, at the Nuovo Teatro Sancarluccio from 29 November to 1 December, before continuing on to Turin on 6 and 7 December (Spazio Opi) and Rome from 24 to 26 January (Teatro Kopò).
In an emotional monologue, the actor from Sassari tells the story of this boy who with determination challenged the Third Reich, making himself loved by an entire people. A story of timeless sport, love and war, a descent without brakes into one of the darkest periods in history, narrated with historical rigor and without giving up the suggestions of the theatrical story. All embellished by the live music of Elva Lutza: Gianluca Dessì on guitar and Nico Casu on trumpet.
Michele Vargiu is a director, author and actor.
