AAntonio Giordano, a 39-year-old from Grumo Nevano already known to the police, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the local station for possession of contraband tobacco.
During a house search, he was found in possession of 826 packets of cigarettes without the state monopoly stamp.
Scattered around the house, under the bed, in various drawers and furniture, he kept hidden 16 and a half kilos of illegal tobacco, which were seized and then destroyed. The arrested man awaits the direct trial.
