Cthe consensus is growing for Romito, the Neapolitan band that after having passed the selections of Sanremo Rock 2020 representing Campania, obtains two extraordinary results that confirm the quality of the proposal: it is among the ten admitted to the final of the 6th edition of the National Music Against the Mafia Award, which will be held at the Morelli Theater in Cosenza on December 7 and 30; it is among the XNUMX names that access the semi-finals of the XNUMXth Edition of the Fabrizio De André Award and will therefore participate in the second live selection phase.
Musica contro le Mafie ended after the selection of 512 candidate songs, 350 artists admitted to the vote of a jury of experts, a social jury and one of students from various Italian schools. During the finals in December the on-stage judges will be Roy Paci, Picciotto and Serena Brancale who, together with the public, a demoscopic jury and one of voters through a live social broadcast, will decree the winners of the competition that aims to enhance socially engaged music. The finals will be hosted by Filippo Roma (Le Iene). Musica contro le Mafie is held under the aegis of Libera (Associations, names and numbers against the mafia), with the patronage of Avviso Pubblico and Legambiente.
After Musica contro le Mafie comes the news of the XVIII Fabrizio De André Award, which has registered a record number of registrations: 1190 artistic projects participating. After a long and careful evaluation, the artistic director Luisa Melis has selected the 30 artists who will access the semi-finals and who will participate in the second live selection phase, which will be held behind closed doors at the Bloom Recording Studios in Guidonia (RM) on 14 and 15 December 2019. Sponsored by the Fabrizio De André Onlus Foundation, supported by SIAE - Italian Society of Authors and Editors, organized by iCompany, with the artistic direction of Luisa Melis, the Fabrizio De André Award aims to stimulate, in authors, composers, interpreters and emerging performers, an experimental creativity, free from trends linked to the fashions of the moment, in order to encourage originality and to research and promote new forms of songwriting, writing and contemporary painting.
