RThe nativity scene by Sorrentine artisans Antonino and Valentino Paturzo returns to the wonders of the Correale Museum: “For the second time, the Correale Museum in Sorrento is hosting an installation of the Neapolitan nativity scene during the Christmas holidays,” declared a satisfied museum president Gaetano Mauro.
Even more space has been reserved this year for the artisanal work created with reproductions of 700th century shepherds: the work, hosted on the ground floor of the Correale Museum, will have a larger extension than the 2018 installation and will re-propose the main scenes of the Christian Nativity. Thanks to the availability of the Museum, this year it was possible to implement the work with water, the main symbol of life. In addition to a central stream, in fact, it will be possible to admire inside the nativity scene, the fountain with the statue of Ceres that reproduces in scale the monument of the same name still present on the Belvedere of the Correale Museum.
The director of the Correale Museum Filippo Merola, the president Gaetano Mauro and the artists Antonino and Valentino Paturzo will be present at the ribbon cutting, which will take place on Thursday 4 December at 16.30:XNUMX pm on the ground floor of the Correale Museum.
The nativity scene can be visited free of charge on the days and at the opening hours of the Correale Museum until next January 6th and, exceptionally, also from 16pm to 20pm on December 8th, 15th, 26th, 29th and January 5th and 6th.
