So much so that investigations were opened on this situation by the Guardia di Finanza, which ordered the opening of a file to verify the regularity of the assignment of the tasks, which saw the MPM excluded.
The affair became public knowledge, so much so that even the online newspaper “Il Vibonese” published an article in which the MPM's lack of involvement in the alleged “fraud” in the awarding of the contract for Vibo Valentia was clearly expressed, and his role as an injured party was highlighted (https://www.ilvibonese.it/cronaca/49595-blitz-comune-vibo-anche-pulizia-strade-dopo-sinistri-mirino-dda/ "In fact, from what investigators have found, out of three companies that have agreements with the Municipality, only two have worked in these years on accidents for profit, while the third company, MpM – excluded from the larger cake – was apparently called a couple of times only to clean up after so-called “anonymous” accidents, that is, those that leave debris or oil on the road, without being able to trace the vehicles involved and the insurance companies that the Municipality will have to call into question.").
