“Matrimonio all'Italiana”, a cult film from the 60s, will be screened at the Teatro Garibaldi in Santa Maria Capua Vetere on November 27 as part of the project 'Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Città di Spettacoli', in partnership with the 2019 edition of 'MitreoFilmFestival', which has created a common thread in the thematic film proposals. It is a 1964 film directed by Vittorio De Sica. The subject is the theatrical comedy Filumena Marturano by Eduardo De Filippo. The free admission festival continues in the Sammaritan 'Piccolo San Carlo', after the concert by Eugenio Bennato and the theatrical show by former boxer Patrizio Oliva. The festival is an initiative in which the administration of Mayor Antonio Mirra has strongly believed, obtaining the green light from the Campania Region that has admitted the Municipality to the financing of approximately 200 thousand euros: a sum to be allocated both to the preparation of an events program, and to restyling works of the Theater. Among the prominent names also those of the actor Gianfranco Gallo, the jazz musician Pietro Condorelli, the musician and arranger Lello Petrarca, the actor Francesco Russo (protagonist in the Rai TV series 'L'Amica Geniale'), the violinist Fabiana Sirigu and many other interpreters of the musical, theatrical and cinematographic sector. The project, approved by the municipal council and carried forward by the councilor for culture and events Gerardo Di Vilio, aims to ensure the centrality of the city of the Forum in the context of cultural initiatives at provincial and regional level, flanking the shows with a concrete path of enhancement and promotion of the theater through interventions of recovery, maintenance, usability and accessibility of the same for which approximately 80 thousand euros will be used and for which work on the systems is already underway. The remaining part is aimed at ensuring high-level cultural events and activities with the artistic direction of the director and actor Claudio Di Palma.
