Nwhere days before the death of little Giuseppe, killed by his self-confessed stepfather Tony Barde, in Cardito, on January 27, the teachers of the school in nearby Crispano, attended by Giuseppe and his little sister, sent a note to the principal in which they reported that the little sister of the little victim had shown up in class with a plaster on one ear and swellings on her face. The episode was made public today, in the Court of Naples, before the Court of Assizes (president La Posta) during the examination of one of the teachers of the school in Crispano. In the document the teachers specified that the little girl, urged by the teachers, had reported that those signs of violence on her face were the result of the beatings inflicted by her stepfather. After the note the teachers were summoned by the principal, but on January 28, when Giuseppe was already dead. “She is not a protective and caring mother towards her children, she sacrificed the protection of her children to the relationship with her partner. There has been violence in the past but she has always protected the relationship with her partner”. This is the conclusion reached, among others, by the doctor Francesco Villa, 66 years old, psychiatrist and consultant of the Juvenile Court of Naples on whose behalf he performed tests on Valentina Casa and Felice Dorice, respectively Giuseppe's mother and father. The doctor visited Giuseppe's mother twice, in light of an assignment given last March 11 also to another doctor, the psychiatrist Esposito. For the doctor, during the meetings, the father of Giuseppe (and of two other girls) tried to present himself as a loving father even if in reality, the psychiatrist stated in response to President La Posta, “he was an absent father, in the children's lives”
Before the Court of Assizes of Naples, however, two other teachers and the principal of the school have availed themselves of the faculty. They are accused, for failure to report, in the context of a judicial proceeding in the Court of Naples North connected to the trial on the murder of the little Giuseppe, aged 7, killed. They are the teachers of Giuseppe and the principal of the school of Crispano, attended by the little victim and her little sister.
