“Never in the history of the city of Naples has a mayor attacked the opposition in the city council head-on. It is a sign of the degradation of the institution and of a deep personal difficulty of the mayor”. This is what the city councilors of Naples, Roberta Giova of the group La Città, and Alessia Quaglietta and Diego Venanzoni of the PD, say. “Today we have reached the lowest point, to the extent that De Magistris confuses the right role and the regulatory form that allows the opposition to fully carry out its role, trying instead to exploit the needs of workers. We are at the swan song of a politician who has lost all form of control and institutional savoir faire. At this rate the city runs the risk of entering a downward spiral with no way out”, add Giova, Quaglietta and Venanzoni.
