I Finance officers of the Provincial Command of Naples, as part of the prevention and repression of illicit trafficking, arrested a 21-year-old resident of the Campania capital, reported a 19-year-old from San Giorgio a Cremano at large and seized 1,320 kg. of very high-quality marijuana which, if sold at retail, would have yielded approximately 15.000 euros. In particular, the operation, conducted by the Fiamme Gialle of the I Group, was initiated by an independent investigative activity and allowed the identification of the actual purchaser of the drug upon the physical delivery of a package.
Specifically, the investigations revealed that the young people pusher they purchased, through dedicated sites hidden in the “deep web”, large quantities of narcotic substances produced and packaged in foreign countries, where cultivation and sale for recreational or therapeutic purposes is legal, subsequently having them shipped with cover loads in order to conceal their real contents.
The arrested subject, also found in possession of a precision scale, 1 cell phone and 1 personal computer, will now have to answer for international drug trafficking. Further activities aimed at identifying the remaining members of the gang are still underway.
With the described operation, the Guardia di Finanza of Naples managed to neutralize a group of “2.0” drug dealers in the eastern area of the Neapolitan capital, Ponticelli district, putting a stop to the illicit traffic, which had already reached, in a few months, a considerable size, thanks to the trade online.
