Napoli. Yesterday, the officers of the Poggioreale Police Station, directed by Deputy Police Commissioner Dr. Antonella Palumbo, during the territorial control service, stopped a man in via Botteghelle on board a car in which they found 15 cartons of champagne of a well-known brand whose provenance the man was unable to report.
The police extended the search to the man's home where they found 1049 bottles of pure alcohol, grappa and various liqueurs, 984 bottles of champagne from prestigious companies, 1000 labels with the State seal and serial number, over 8000 adhesive labels from well-known brands, aluminium caps and packaging cardboard, all counterfeit material.
The man, a 38-year-old Neapolitan known to the police, was reported for counterfeiting, alteration and use of trademarks or distinctive signs and introduction into the country of products with false signs.
