SThe traveling photographic exhibition entitled “In cammino” opens tomorrow, Tuesday 26 November 2019 at 11.30:10 am, in the Complex of Santi Marcellino and Festo of the University Federico II, in largo San Marcellino, 26, with the works of photographers Alessandra De Cristofaro and Martina Esposito, curated by the Neapolitan photographer Rosario Morisieri. A traveling exhibition that will be set up in the shops of the historic center of Naples from 8 November to 2019 December XNUMX.
The fight against prejudice and discrimination in all its manifestations are the main themes of the initiative promoted by LESS Cooperativa Sociale Ar.l. – ETS within the #Liberedi program, sponsored by the Municipality of Naples, and carried out in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II within the University program F2 Cultura.
Alessandra De Cristofaro will exhibit photos entitled “Ifigenia” and which show images of women rescued from violence in their countries of origin. Martina Esposito in her photos entitled “Tra le braccia di Salmace”, tells the reality experienced by transgender people in the city of Naples.
The inauguration day, which will focus on the themes of prejudice and discrimination, will open with greetings from the vice-rector of Federico II, Arturo De Vivo. This will be followed by speeches by Concetta Giancola, president of the CUG – Comitato Unico di Garanzia of Federico II, Carlo Cremona, president of the I Ken association, Francesca De Rosa, researcher at the Orientale University, head of the emigrants' memories archive and Naples representative of the "Non una di meno" network, Selena Del Priore and Marina Rubino, operators of the Sprar of Naples and Procida, managed by LESS, and Faduma Mohamed Abdulle, president of the Somali women's association Iskafir.
The photos will be displayed in the shops in the historic center of Naples that have joined the solidarity map.
At the same time, the participating merchants will be presented and will display the photos. In addition, the merchants have joined a campaign by Less by providing a donative menu. The proceeds will be used to donate a defibrillator to the city's historic center.
