I Carabinieri of the Operations Section of the Torre Annunziata Company discovered a cache of material for making homemade bombs. It was in the basement of a 53-year-old local man already known to law enforcement.
The operation is part of a broader control operation, implemented after recent explosions of homemade explosive devices in the city.
The canine units were also fundamental in facilitating the recovery of 30 fuses used for the detonators, 400 grams of powder and various paper and cardboard materials useful for preparing the bomb casings. Everything was in fact in the basement of the 53-year-old, who was reported for illegal possession and failure to report explosive material.
Investigations and extraordinary territorial control services are still ongoing, also with reinforcements from the Mobile Battalion.
