For eight years, ASCI Cinema has contributed to the training of professionals in the field of cinematographic art and to the creation of important cinematographic works thanks to a laboratory full of equipment, the same used by the most important cinematographic productions necessary for theoretical-practical training courses and created in the same school, in collaboration with the GMC.
It is worth remembering that Naples is increasingly becoming a stage for Italian and foreign film productions. This result has increased the workforce, giving many young people the opportunity to find employment in the world of the seventh art.
“With a new course for FilmMakers – declares the President of ASCI Cinema, Luca Cestari – starting in January 2020, which will cover the main subjects of the seventh art, with great attention to both theoretical aspects, especially practical ones, the ASCI school wants to provide the necessary means to strengthen the workforce, in the film sector, in the city”.
"In the last 5 years - continues Cestari - the city of Naples has hosted about 2 thousand audiovisual productions, becoming more and more a real attractive cinematic hub. Territorial and cultural bodies such as the Campania Region, the MIBACT, the New IMAIE, the SIAE, the European Union and others, equally important, continue to allocate funds for many millions of euros, for the development of culture, through the art of cinema and related professions".
The search for professional figures ready to handle the impact with the set is growing exponentially, therefore, by the numerous production houses that continue to invest and produce in this wonderful city, generating work and opportunities for professionally trained subjects, incentivizing or privileging also the first work, focusing above all on the new generations.
The collaboration between ASCI Cinema and “GMC-ManufactureForCinemaEquipment” (a leading brand in Italy in the design and production of cinematographic equipment) contributes to making the new FilmMaker course unique and highly theoretical and practical.
The four-month course will provide students with all the latest equipment used in the world of cinema (RED Dragon cameras, Angenieux, Zeiss, Lomo and Cooke lenses, Dollies, Cranes, stabilized remote heads, various Car Mount systems, Sliders, SteadiCams and numerous accessories. Arri, KinoFlo, Desisti, DMG Lumiere lights and other brands and accessories) without which it would not be possible to put into practice the knowledge learned in the theoretical phase.
The aim of ASCI Cinema will be to provide optimal and balanced training to aspiring FilmMakers, through a project that includes the directing course, the cinematographic photography course, the editing course, the screenplay course and the direct sound and audio mixing course, and a course on cinema professions in general.
