Castellabate wears a bright and festive dress during the Christmas period thanks to the numerous events organized by the local Associations and sponsored by the Municipality of Castellabate in conjunction with the competent Tourist and Cultural Promotion office. There are many events during the weekend preceding Christmas in the Cilento municipality. On Saturday 22 December, the ProLoco Castellabate organizes in the historic center "Il villaggio di babbo Natale" from 15:30 pm to 20:30 pm with entertainment for the little ones including inflatables, elves and snow globes. A weekend of Christmas shopping in search of gifts to put under the tree on Corso Matarazzo, with "A fantastic Christmas", from 20 to 22 December, the Gruppo Commercianti Riuniti has organized days of discounts and entertainment with the slogan "Buy in small shops to bring your town to life". Friday 21 December sees the return of the VI edition of the “Tombolata Vivente”, the first in Cilento thanks to the intuition of the Vivi San Marco Association, double shift at 18:30 and 20:30 in Piazza G. Comunale. «Castellabate, a place of enchantment all year round, dresses up to give magical moments with activities for adults and children organized by the Associations, which we thank for the great participation – declares the Deputy Mayor with delegations for tourism, culture and commerce, Luisa Maiuri – a constant commitment from everyone to promote staying in our Municipality, enhance local craftsmanship and encourage purchases in local businesses, which are the life of a territory, against the competition of e-commerce and large shopping centers».
