Almond truck attack on the A14, Salerno truck driver kidnapped and abandoned in the countryside: commando flees with cargo

First kidnapped, then robbed. It happened to a truck driver from Salerno who yesterday afternoon, while driving along the A14 motorway, at the fork between Cerignola and Canosa was approached by a Volvo carrying a commando of four masked people.

Armed with rifles and pistols, the criminals forced the driver to stop the vehicle, loaded him aboard the car, while one of the gang took over the driving of the truck. After an hour, the poor man was abandoned in the countryside of Cerignola. A few kilometers away, the Highway Patrol officers recovered the truck, now emptied of its precious cargo.
