Culinary tradition and a lot of love for the Norman land. These are the two fundamental prerequisites of the Instagram page “Aversa food porn”, which is driving the virtual population crazy.
The creators of this “caloric” profile are two very young students from Aversa, Gennaro Abate and Emilio Verde, aged 23 and 22. The two have set up this project with the aim of promoting, through social networks, the enormous culinary offerings of Aversa.
“Aversa – the two affirm in unison – boasts a historic culinary tradition that, lately, is having a notable growth, thanks to the opening of new and original places. Food is the ace in the hole of every place, it represents the roots and at the same time the fruit of the place itself. Food has the power to intrigue people, to the point of making them travel kilometers and kilometers just for the taste and curiosity of tasting it”.
“Aversa food Porn”, named after a format already existing and used by various Italian towns, was born only a month ago, but has already surpassed 2.300 followers. A truly extraordinary result, which sees not only the Normans interact, but also profiles from other cities. And who knows, maybe one day Gennaro and Emilio will be able to open a pub.
For now, the two young people are organizing a wonderful initiative for these Christmas holidays: "For this Christmas, in synergy with some Aversa locals, we decided to collect food and then distribute it to the most needy in Aversa. The love for food is useless if you can't share it. One of the main purposes of the page is, in fact, to create a community of food lovers, enhancing it and sharing this love that unites everyone a little".
