Rescued at sea this morning in Agropoli by the local Port Authority, Santa Claus, who fell into the water while flying over the skies of Cilento to distribute Christmas gifts. The timely intervention of the men of the Coast Guard, led by Lieutenant Giulio Cimmino, allowed them to save Santa Claus who, having arrived at the dock from the patrol boat, found twenty-one children waiting for them, guests of the family homes present in the Cilento area, to whom he brought various Christmas gifts.

The Circolo Canottieri Agropoli and the Lega Navale di Agropoli strongly supported the initiative, together with the Agropoli Maritime District Office and the Agropoli Municipal Administration. The managers of the Real Agropoli sports association, always attentive to these issues, Aldo Olivieri of HiTourist and Roberto Apicella of the Sbandieratori association also collaborated in the success of the solidarity initiative.

After the arrival of Santa Claus, the children spent the day at the Circolo Canottieri Agropoli headquarters, enjoying games and entertainment, before visiting Santa Claus's Village at the Angevin-Aragonese castle and the Christmas markets.
