They were ready to be sold and end up on consumers' tables during the Christmas holidays: 500 kilos of mostaccioli and roccocò, traditional Neapolitan and Campania Christmas sweets, were seized. The forestry carabinieri of the Telese Terme station, in the province of Benevento, carried out a blitz in a company in the area dedicated to the production and marketing of artisanal products, finding 500 kilos of typical Christmas sweets, without the indications of origin and traceability required by law. An administrative fine was issued for the owner of the commercial activity. Today's seizure, carried out in collaboration with the Nipaf, the Carabinieri's environmental, agri-food and forestry police investigative unit, is part of the "Christmas time" operation aimed at safeguarding the health of consumers during the Christmas holidays.
