He set up a makeshift stall and displayed dozens of homemade explosive devices. This resulted in the arrest of Tommaso Coppola, a 29-year-old from Casalnuovo, already known to law enforcement. Carabinieri officers from the local station spotted him on Via Monsignor Peluso, unauthorizedly selling illegal fireworks. When they searched his vehicle, they found and seized 6526 pyrotechnic devices and 120 unconventional high-explosive devices.
Arrested, Coppola will spend New Year's Eve under house arrest awaiting trial with a direct trial.
