On Monday, December 30th, at 8:00 PM, the performance "Charles Dickens – The Man Who Invented Christmas" will take place in Arbostella Church – Parish of Gesù Risorto, performed by Saranno Vietresi – the musical company. It's a wonderful opportunity to spend a peaceful moment, accompanied by Father Giuseppe Landi, who will greet those present. The event is an integral part of the varied liturgical-cultural program "ArboStella di Natale 2019-2020."
Based on the film of the same name and transformed into a touching musical, “Charles Dickens – The Man Who Invented Christmas” tells the story of the creative crisis of a young Charles Dickens who, after
following the failure of his last three books, he seeks a new source of inspiration.
Only by digging into his past and facing the ghosts of his childhood, Dickens will be able to complete what will be one of his most beautiful stories, that "A Christmas Carol" which he
inspired many films and cartoons.
The show is divided into a single act that retraces the personal events of the writer in
parallel to that of the characters in his book: we will see Dickens confront the very greedy Ebenezer Scrooge, meet the Christmas spirits but also recover the difficult relationship with his father.
