Castellammare di Stabia. Cocaine and €6720 in the home: a 63-year-old man arrested by Carabinieri officers from the local mobile radio unit. Officers arrested Catello Cuomo, 63, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. In his home—partly hidden above the refrigerator and partly between the radiators—130 doses of cocaine totaling 37,3 grams were found. In the bedroom, in a recess created in a closet, two precision scales and various packaging materials were found. A significant sum of cash was found: €6720, believed to be the proceeds of illicit trafficking, distributed between a shoe rack and a bedside table.
Cuomo is now under house arrest awaiting trial.
