The traditional Epiphany Concert, now in its twenty-fifth year, is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2020. At 8:30 pm at the Teatro Mediterraneo in Naples, the Epiphany concert will be a musical transposition of Pope Francis's message for the upcoming World Day of Peace: "The world does not need empty words, but convinced witnesses, artisans of peace open to dialogue without exclusion or manipulation."
The concert will then be broadcast on Monday 6 January, at 9.30 am on Rai1, and will be hosted by Ingrid Muccitelli.
“Memory, solidarity and fraternity – says Giuseppe Reale, president of the Oltre il Chiostro onlus Association – are some of the key words in Pope Francis’ message that sound like an essential warning to always keep the flame of hope alive in a future of peace. The 25th edition of the Epiphany Concert goes precisely in this direction: to urge us to believe in building hope, because without Hope – which must be born in the consciences of each of us – it is not possible to imagine the new boundaries of peace”.
The 25th Edition of the Epiphany Concert is conceived and promoted by the Oltre il Chiostro onlus Association, chaired by Professor Giuseppe Reale – author of the show – and produced for Rai by Melos International of Dante Mariti, together with the Musica dal Mondo Association, which takes care of the entire organization of the event. The Artistic Direction is entrusted to Francesco Sorrentino. The event enjoys the patronage of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples.
