An Italian couple who decided to take their lives by jumping into the cold and rough sea of Castel Volturno today were rescued by police officers from the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, who were carrying out checks in the area coordinated by the local police station. The officers managed to bring the man and woman back to shore while they were in grave danger in the rough sea. The officers jumped into the water, saving the couple. The two were then taken to the hospital for treatment and psychological support.
