He was carrying 500 kilos of drugs on his luxury yacht. A well-known Neapolitan-born boat dealer and owner of a shipyard in Castel Volturno (Caserta) was sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking this morning by the Cagliari court. The 41-year-old man used his vessel to transport tons of hashish between the port of Naples and the Costa Smeralda. He was arrested last year by the Guardia di Finanza during a raid in which 11 people were detained. In two years of activity, the trafficking group was found to have imported 30 shipments of hashish from the Naples area to Sardinia, with each shipment containing approximately 300 kilos of the drug, for a total of 10,4 tons.
