The event returns, combining jazz music with good drinking between Vesuvius and the sea, through historic centers and vineyards to creatively discover an extraordinary territory less traveled by traditional tourist circuits: the municipalities of Boscotrecase and Trecase, in the province of Naples.
From 20 to 22 December, “Divino Jazz Festival” offers free concerts every day, tastings of typical products and guided visits to wineries specializing in the production of Lacryma Christi – for the XNUMXth edition of the festival, conceived and directed by Gigi Di Luca.
“A Festival to be felt with all five senses: this is the concept of the Divino Jazz Festival that since 2004 has made you savor music and jazz while discovering the Vesuvian territory. Jazz, like wine, has deep roots and future visions. A program that thinks of Jazz as a meeting between people and musical genres, as an exploration of different languages. Three days of festival with 5 concerts, 2 of which with international artists; 2 visits to local wineries; 2 guided tours, one of which to the Oplonti Excavations and the other to the historic center of Trecase.”
Many artists on the bill. The inauguration is entrusted to the Tingvall Trio, which takes its name from Martin Tingvall, Swedish pianist leader of the group, with him on stage Omar Rodriguez Calvo (double bass) and Jürgen Spiegel (drums). The trio will perform on Friday 20 December at 21 pm at the Corelli theatre in Trecase and has concerts in more than 30 countries, a wealth of awards including the Echo Jazz as “Ensemble of the Year” and “Live Act of the Year”, Jazz award for each of the albums recorded in the studio, first positions in the jazz charts and high positions also in the pop charts.
It continues on Saturday 21 December with various appointments. At 10am Guided tour of the Oplonti Excavations and the identity museum of Torre Annunziata.

At 21 pm a concert by the Carla Marciano Quartet at the auditorium of the Prisco School in Boscotrecase. Alto saxophonist and composer from Salerno, Marciano is considered by specialized critics to be one of the best talents in European jazz, appreciated both for her great passion and energy, as well as for her technical skills, strong expressiveness and unusual interpretative and compositional vein. She is also listed among the main specialists of the sopranino saxophone, one of the most difficult saxophones to master.
The event will conclude on Sunday 22 December in Trecase with a day full of events starting in the morning. At 10 am a guided tour of the historic centre, at 12 pm a visit to the Cantina del Vesuvio winery with a jazz aperitif with the energetic musicians of Magicaboola. At 21:XNUMX pm in the Church of S. Maria delle Grazie there will be the unmissable Christmas event with the New Millenium Gospel Choir, an American group among the most established on the international scene.
