A young Carabiniere from Caserta is the victim of the accident along the Telesina

Young Carabiniere Giuliano Ciampi is the victim of the tragic accident that occurred this afternoon on the Telesina road between Alvignano and Gioia Sannitica. The 25-year-old officer, a local resident and serving at the Roma Trionfale station, was riding his motorcycle when he violently impacted a car. Emergency medical personnel from the Piedimonte Matese emergency service arrived immediately on the scene, but there was nothing they could do for the Carabiniere. Traffic was blocked in both directions, and many drivers had to take alternative routes.
