The last event of the year linked to the project “Scuola e Legalità” organized by FAST – Farmacisti Attivi sul Territorio, the association created and chaired by Pietro Carraturo, is scheduled for tomorrow, December 19th from 9.00:XNUMX a.m. at the Liceo Scientifico e Linguistico “Elio Vittorini” in via Domenico Fontana in Naples. The effects of the mix of alcohol, medicines and drugs on young people will be the theme of the meeting with the students of the Vomerese high school, which will be attended by the Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Naples, Alessandra Clemente, Dr. Gennaro Bottiglieri and the president of FAST, Pietro Carraturo.

“This is a very current topic,” explains the president of FAST. “Recent news, and not only, tell us about the devastating effects that these mixes of substances produce on the human body and on behavior, and in particular on young people. We will talk about it to a school audience that is not coincidentally made up of high school students and therefore kids of an age group in which many victims of the lethal effects of these mixtures fall.”

Through this new stage of the “Scuola e Legalità” project, FAST intends to inform and train young people on the need for a conscious use of drugs and on the contraindications in the case of alcohol abuse and consumption of narcotic substances, especially when these actions are combined with each other. The meeting at Vittorini is part of the series of appointments started by FAST in Neapolitan schools to raise awareness among future adults on issues that are not included in school protocols, just like the topic of Health and Legality.
"We enter the places where young students acquire the fundamental notions for their growth - explains Carraturo - The strategy behind the idea is clear: by doing prevention, the only way to achieve health and well-being, we can certainly obtain a more aware child today, therefore a better adult tomorrow. We invest this role in the figure of the pharmacist so that he is not seen as an exclusive distributor of drugs but rather as an informer who comes out of the counter to meet the users".

“The FAST project benefits from the collaboration of Federfarma Campania and the Order of Pharmacists of Naples and for this I thank the presidents prof. Vincenzo Santagada and Dr. Michele di Iorio” concludes Carraturo.
