Government, Conte splits the Ministry of Education, Azzolina at School, the Neapolitan Manfredi at University and Research

"To improve our action we must separate the school sector from the research-university sector. There will be a new Ministry of University and Research. I have thought of appointing Lucia Azzolina as Minister of School and I would like to appoint Gaetano Manfredi as Minister of University and Research". This was stated by the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, during the usual end-of-year conference underway at Villa Madama, answering the question on the succession of the outgoing minister, Lorenzo Fioramenti (M5s). Lucia Azzolina (M5s) has so far been undersecretary at the Miur and Gaetano Manfredi is the rector of the University of Naples, Federico II.
